Sher Arnfinson is the founder of Shiatsu by Sher Energy Healing Centre as well as its principle therapist. A certified Shiatsu therapist for fifteen years, she is also an experienced practitioner of Aromatherapy, Anma Massage, Hot Stones and Energy Healing.

Sher’s involvement in the health field dates back over 25 years to when she was a competitive cyclist and aerobic instructor. Later she became a personal trainer and fitness-test appraiser, then studied Shiatsu, and opened her clinic at 481 University Avenue in Toronto. Since then she has dedicated herself to developing her skills and deepening her understanding of healing.

Two years ago, through a series of linked events, she met Denis and knew immediately that she was to work with him and learn from him. It proved to be a turning point in her career: she has mastered Denis' technique of grounding and has integrated it into all aspects of her practice. She has also introduced many others to this work by organizing monthly meetings at which participants learn and practise energy healing techniques.

Sher is always looking for other ways to broaden her knowledge in the energy field. Through spirit, Manyhorses was sent to her as her next step. His teachings include building the energy, opening the chakras, removing energies that don't belong, and connecting us to all that is sacred and divine.

Another form of healing is Munay-Ki, which was taught by Fran D'Angelo from N.Y. state. Fran has had her teachings from Don Francisco, a South American Laika Medicine Man. The next Munay-Ki classes beginning in March 2009 will be taught by Pete Bernard. He has worked directly with the Qero Medicine people in Peru.

Before connecting with Pete Bernard, who is Sher's new mentor, she feels that she had to learn and experience the other healers' techniques. At this new level of vibration and wisdom, we are able to share and teach healing in a variety of ways.

Over the years Sher has not only helped countless others to overcome health challenges and work with their own energy, she has cleared herself of sinus and digestive symptoms as well as food sensitivities, and has cut her need for supplements, homeopathic remedies and herbal tinctures by 90%. She also works with a team of practitioners on a volunteer basis, visiting people at the BCSS (Breast Cancer Support Services), PWA (People with AIDS), and NWRC (Native Women's Resource Center), offering energy healing treatments on a monthly basis.

Sher has began her journey to connect more intimately with her native aboriginal roots, which trace back to Henry Bourque (Metis) and Lily Johnston (Cree), both born near Lac La Biche Mission in Alberta. Sher attends first-nations gatherings and Pow Wows, and wants to honour her roots by sharing among native circles what she has come to understand as the first principle of self-healing: to clear the body of emotional stress using energy healing.
