Sacred
Plant Medicine
Deep in the heart of the Amazon basin and high
in the Andean mountains there are indigenous traditions
that continue to this day where one can experience
deep transformative healing within nature. These
traditions contain natural ways of healing and
sacred plants that assist the spirit, mind, emotion,
and body return to balance and harmony. An item
frequently overlooked in modern descriptions of
shamanism is the relationship between the healer
shaman and the plants and spirits that they work
with to restore balance and harmony. For it is
the spirit or consciousness of a plant more than
the chemical make up of its body that assists
a person on their healing journey. In this living
celebration, they come together to co-create a
unique healing experience that restores balance
and harmony.
Sound
and Movement in Traditional Healing
Every thing that exists is made up of energy which
vibrates at a unique frequency, a song and dance
within the symphony of the cosmos. Our bodies
are made up of molecules in motion that can be
affected by vibration and sound. Within our energetic
body, there is a blueprint that contains our own
unique recipe for health and joyful living. Thus,
sound healing is a reconnection with our natural
state of grace and harmony.

Globally, traditional healers use sound and tools,
such as stones, rattles, feathers, smudge, drums,
sounds, and sacred songs sent from spirit to facilitate
healing. Icaros are songs gifted from spirit to
be sung by those who receive them, to connect
you to the energies from the cosmos. Each soul
has it’s own unique song and dance of spiritual
expression.
